Sponsorship Opportunities
The Ouelessebougou Alliance is celebrating its 25th anniversary of working in Mali, West Africa, and we invite you to be a part of our celebration. For the past 25 years, the Alliance has dedicated its resources to improving health, education, and economic conditions for 25,000 people in 25 villages. As we celebrate 25 years of change in Mali, we invite you to empower villages in the Ouelessebougou region in the following ways:
LEVELS OF EMPOWERMENT:
VILLAGE SPONSOR: “GRIOT” $10,000
The “Griot” is the traditional village historian in Mali. Become a part of history in Mali by empowering a village. This sponsorship will fund all health, education, and economic development projects in one village for a year. Individuals, companies, or schools will be able to choose which village they would like to sponsor for the coming year.
VILLAGE SPONSOR PLUS NEW CLASSROOM: “DUGUTIGI” $20,000
The “Dugutigi” is the chief of the village. Become an honorary village chief by empowering a village for a year, plus building a classroom, drinking well or latrine for the sponsored village.
VILLAGE SPONSOR PLUS ENTIRE NEW SCHOOL: “CHIWARA” $40,000
The “Chiwara” is the symbol of success in Mali. It is tradition that the entrepreneur of the year gets this special award in honor of his or her hard work and success. Become the “Chiwara” of the Ouelessebougou Alliance by helping a village with our largest sponsorship: empower a village for a year, plus build an entire new school named after your company, foundation, or school.
