It all started in May of 1985. Seven Utahns traveled to Ouelessebougou, Mali, West Africa in response to the horrific images of drought, starvation and death throughout sub-Saharan Africa displayed on the media. Determined to make a difference, they began a long-term partnership to help the Malian people overcome the challenges of extreme poverty. Next year, 25 years will have passed since that first trip, and now that partnership extends to 25 villages, where we are providing live-changing opportunities for nearly 25,000 villagers.
We invite you to join this 25 Year Campaign by:
1) Supporting the Alliance through a $25 gift
2) Asking 25 friends to also give $25
25 x 25 x 25 x 25…=
the power to change 25,000 lives.
So, what can you do with $25?
Here in the US, there are plenty of things you can do with $25, like:
• Buy 4 movie passes
• Dinner for 2 at a local restaurant
• Fill up1 tank of gas--if that
Or maybe you'd like to do more with your $25, like:
• Provide live-saving vaccinations for 35 children
• Fund a micro-loan project so a villager can feed his family for 30 days
• Give 17 students school supplies for a year
• Provide mosquito nets to protect16 women and children from malaria
