Education Expedition (for education committee members)

A self-funded education expedition travels to Ouelessebougou annually. A team of educators provide training for 38 teachers and four lead teachers. They also follow-up on school construction projects and plan for education needs. Recent education expedition report and photos
Health Expeditions (for health committee members)
Public Health:
A self-funded public health expedition travels to Ouelessebougou annually. A team of public health professionals provide health training and support to the Alliance’s Malian staff and village partners. They also follow-up on health projects and plan for new village needs. Medical:
Utah surgeons travel to Ouelessebougou annually to perform OB/GYN surgeries for women who cannot afford this critical care. This year, there will be two groups of volunteers who will perform more than 40 of these much needed surgeries. They address vaginal fistulas, pelvic inflammatory disease and many other issues for which treatment is not otherwise available. In addition to surgery, this team spent time in villages, modeling health care and reinforcing villager support for the Alliance’s volunteer village health agents. Economic Development Expedition (for economic development committee members)
A self-funded economic development expedition travels to Ouelessebougou annually. A team of businessmen provide training for 12 village economic development committees. They also follow-up on loan projects and plan for future needs. Recent economic development expedition report and photos
